I have and idea for a character where she is a princess, soon to take the throne, to either the Vampire or Elfin realm. The problem is that a cousin of hers who wants to be King wants her out of the way, and so knowing she is a spoiled little thing who cannot survive on her own he kindnaps her and leaves her stranded in our world. My issue is I can't decide obviously what race she should be or generally how to create a full story around her, but I want to.

Any thoughts or ideas would be nice!

'cause I've been mortally afraid of vampires since I was 5 and my dad took me to see dracula. I couldn't sleep with the lights off or without garlic for weeks after that.

And I like elves better 'cause they have more magic.
